Sourcing RNS-510 units

Those of you you bought one after buying the car (ie not factory-fitted or dealer-bought), where did you source your unit from?

I want one but ideally from someone trustworthy enough.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Im in the process of getting my Rns510 replaced by seller.
EBAY
Bought what was described but turns out the unit had a toureg motherboard installed in the Nav unit.
All works ok but wont communicate to my MFSW.
Replacement (Version B) arriving end of next week.

i was offered another tonight from central london for £600, buyer collects, but sounded abit dodgy, apparently from a car breakers, recovered vehicle :grin:

The chap that i bought mine from is in the top 1000 sellers on ebay.

i will ask phil, (synnea) from GOLFGTi.co.uk for the sellers name stealth if you like. He bought from him and i bought from Synnea.
Hes had no problem with getting a replacement for me, i was gonna be sending mine back tommorow but need a my Rns for this saturday or ill get hopelessley lost in Bucks  :signLOL:

tommy cupra had some units a while back, not the cheapest but seem to be full proper vw units

haha, yes Im staff there ;-), I paid about 800 euros iirc, that was when the pound was alot stronger though, mine came in 4 days
