Textured bumpers
« on: August 12, 2012, 02:48:29 pm »
I've noticed some what look like dirty marks on the lower un painted section of my rear bumper. Can I use a clay bar on a textured bumper or is there another product to get rid of them. I've tried washing then AG bumper care but they keep coming back

Use APC + brush to clean it. If it's damage, it won't come out.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Cheers for that mate. It doesn't look like damage looks mor like just plain old dirt but I've washed it a couple of times and it still seems to be there. Excuse my ignorance I know APC is all purpose cleaner would flash clean and shine be ok to use?

Probably will but remember to dilute it down and test it on a small area first to make sure it doesnt cause more damage!

Do a google search for Rubbish Boys - he has some decent APC for around a fiver. It's Mark V and luminous yellow in colour.

Great value as it is diluted with water - I se it on heaps of areas
