18" Replica Monza Refurb?? EDIT PHOTOS...
« on: August 12, 2012, 08:32:04 pm »
Hey,

I have my Monza alloys booked in tomorrow to be refurbished, was going to get them refurbished to Monza Shadows Style,

So took them off today, wrapped them to get ready for delivery, and just as i was doing the last wheel, i said id have a look for the BBS or VW stamp, which i couldnt see,

So now I'm thinking they must be replica's, very disappointed to be honest.

So my question is,

If indeed these are reps, can reps be Diamond Cut?  or what are my option's?

What do you guys honestly think of Replica Monza?

The badges look OEM and not replica's. what was the ET on them?? Most reps have ET 46 where as OEM have ET51 (iirc). BBS on made them for the first few years then Ronal started to make them iirc

What is the ET?

I didn't see a BBS, Ronal or VW stamp,

should one of those be on it?

Year of the car is 07

Those are deffo reps. The machine face between the dials is slightly wider than the OEM's.

The ET45 is a good indication that they are reps.

Yea i might just do that, or i might hold off for a good secondhand OEM set to pop up sometime, hopefully.

Refurbishing reps is kind of a waste of money i guess,

Yeah don't bother referbing reps. You can usually buy new reps for about the same or slighty more than the referb cost.
