GT TDI dash lights (ABS + ESP)
« on: August 20, 2012, 10:13:20 am »
The below issues are all on a MK5 GT TDI 140

I'm currently offshore, but my fiance emailed me saying she has two lights illuminated on her dash, ESP and ABS.
My first thoughts were that it could be due to low brake pads, but on further thinking, isn't there a message comes up saying "low brake pads" or something similar?
The car was recently serviced also, and i know the front brake pads of heaps of life left in them.  Not 100% sure on rears.

Other thinking is that it might be an ABS problem, sensor/pump/relay?

I'm getting it on VAGCOM when i'm home on Wednesday but was hoping someone might have had these two lights and know where to start.

Cheers

Stuart

Could be a faulty sensor or the pump, which vw are now replacing under warranty even if your car is older than 3 years

Thanks, that was my initial thinking.  Will see what VAGCOM says

Are VW dealing with it like a product recall?
