Enabling Auto Door Locking
« on: June 03, 2009, 06:13:06 pm »
Guys,

Recently purchased my 2006 plate Grey MKV GTi 3 door, which I'm massively happy with.
I part-exed' my old Clio 1.6 3 door and it featured an auto door locking function on driving away, I think this set at about 5mph. Meant that only driver/passanger could open the door, not anyone outside.

Can the same be done on my GTi? Would be nice to have.
I did ask the dealer when picking up but they said it would cost £25 and was a simple ECU change, therefore is it something VAGCom would do, or do I not even need that?

I know it's something you can code with the HL trip in the Ed 30's, will mine do it too? (Did do a search too but drew a blank...)

Thanks,

Peter.

The auto locking can be set via vag com, if the car has a highline computer this can be used too

I have VAGCOM. What's the settings for this?

[/vagcom n00b]

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
