Great results Hurdy, amazing the amount of extra power and torque you can put through the mechanically standard block and gearbox.

Will you ever need uprated clutchpacks?

The torque is deliberately held back. On the L0400 turbo I was running 40lbft more and it was fine.

I cannot say how long the clutchpacks will last though. :driver:

The clutchpacks on APR R car gave up in the end....there were also issues with excess heat in the box which they had to engineer out.....I know they mentioned it wasn't cheap but as they told me at Combe last year the car had been running hard for over 40k on the standard clutch packs with some serious abuse from their demo runs and track action....commendable considering it's 450+ output.

Will you not be reving it higher than 7K?  The engine is fine to 7.5K or does the power tail off?

I'm still trying to work out if I should go .63 or .80 hotside.  My engine will rev to 8250 though.

My redline is 7450rpm Alex. The turbo was only just getting into its stride by 6700rpm where we cut off. It was gaining 35-40bhp per 500rpm and was increasing in ramp rate when Steve Jr let off the pedal. On the road when revved out it certainly doesn't tail off even at the redline. On a road car AR63.

Manifold?
the OEM one is still as cool as a cucumber at 1.5 bar. THE HPA one will go on with a 70mm throttle body. :happy2:

I want to see what yours makes to redline.  Steve needs to keep his foot in.

Doing an HTA3071 on a K1 soon with a .63.  Will see what that's like to drive in FWD to see if a .80 is better suited or not.  I don't want to run out of puff at 7.5K with the way the engine is going to be built.

Their beta launch control was too high. It would have put the gearbox into protection mode at 6krpm with an "overheat" signal.
