I have always dreamed about owning an Evo 8/9 with 400bhp, but many things have put me off, insurance costs, servicing costs, general maintaince costs, depreciation etc.
A tuned Golf R seems like a much better prospect, the handling and grip might not be right up there with the Evo, but for road use I'm sure a tuned Golf R would give you 95% of the thrills for a lot less money. Of course a Golf R at the moment is twice the money, when they do drop to the £15k-£17k mark I would be very tempted.
Although saying that, I would prefer an S-Tronic Facelift Audi S3
Anyway, great work Hurdy, I'm enjoying watching the progress of this car as are many other members
