Good news arrived today.......

The new ceramic black tips for the exhaust have been made and the exhaust should be arriving early next week. This means that stage 2+ should be on the car by mid-week and then the real fun can begin
Golf R gone.

325bhp on JKM's dyno (if it ever allowed 4WD!), 340bhp on all other dyno Dynamics rollers, 350-360bhp on Sun/Maha dyno's, 380+bhp at AMD! and if I ever went to Greece with their extra small ponies about 400bhp! :signLOL:

Power isn't the point, it is performance on road/track/dragstrip that I will be looking at.

Initial targets are....
Sub 3.8 seconds to 60mph.
Sub 10 seconds to 100mph.
1/4 mile at an official raceway of under 12.6 seconds.
30-130mph at Marham in less than 16 seconds.
Top speed at Marham of over 150mph.
Nurburgring B to G time of 8'10" or under.

Golf R gone.

That would be tuned on WMI at Stage 2+

16 point something is usual on Stage 2+ for an ED30

[/quote]

The ED30 never did faster than a 4.4 to 60mph. On nitrous it did an 8.8 to 100. 1/4 mile fastest was a 12.8 at the pod. Never went to Marham in the ED30, but a stage 2+ ED30 has done a 16.4 30-130 at Marham. Nurburgring fastest in the ED30 was 8'09", but when I did the full trackday at the Ring the ED30 did a few sub 8' equivalents for the B to G.

The targets are initial ones and hopefully can all be done before June next year and then onwards to some different targets. :happy2:

Right I dont want any peer pressure here lads, let's allow hurdy to make his own decisions.

I have a Work of Art manifold and mahoosive recently refreshed like new precision turbo combo for sale for 1700. Capable of 600-700hp.

I think teff might be concerned if you bought this kit, and a engine build by the guy who did mine :D

That sounds a better prospect  :popcornsoda:

The change left from not buying the LOBA turbo would sort out the uprated internals and injectors.  Add theStage 4 REVO map and you will have the fastest 2.0TFSI in the UK easily.

Plus you'll loads more power for your money  :star:

If times weren't a bit tough at the moment this would already be on the way to me!

I think I would be divorcing if I bought that turbo kit.

No peer pressure then!

The only problem is I promised the wife I would keep this car "sensible".

I'm not sure a 600+bhp built engine Golf R that could tear tarmac off the road just by looking at it fully meets my wife's definition of "sensible" :signLOL:

Mike should be looking at this before me.......he's the official Magpie on this forum!

I'm sort of tempted though as I was looking at the for sale thread and my bank account :ashamed:

Maybe me and H4RDY could get a joint discount on divorce lawyers? :rolleye:

I reckon that BT setup would be better for everyday pootling about, and like Alex says, theres no such thing as lag, only the driver being in the incorrect gear

I hear the big turbo setups are more efficient as well(when driven off normally f course)
