Are you still on the standard IC?  Am I right in thinking this is the same as the one in the GTI/ED35?

Golf R has the S3 intercooler with plastic end tanks. Bigger than the GTI cooler.

Update.....

Booked in next week for all the suspension doing plus engine mounts and alloy front arms.

Also at the same time the water methanol injection goes on.

Be rude not to wouldn't it.

I did have a sneaky conversation about having nitrous again, but this time purely for the 1/4 mile runs :rolleye:

Not sure yet though as it would involve internals/HPA clutchpacks etc, but I guess those may be done at some point anyway!

"I'm doing the mods individually so I feel the effect and or benefit of each" sounds familiar?

brilliant   Will it be like last time, start with a 25hp injector then think stuff it and bolt on the 100Hp injector then hold on for dear life  :driver:  At least with the R you will have traction so a 100hp shot would give an immense improvement in time up the strip.  Even a minor 25Hp injector would be a pretty substantial gain i think.

Which alloy front arms?  I thought th R would have had the alloy arms as std because of the bigger brakes, like on the S3.

Same WMI kit as in the Polo?

 :ashamed:

Well, when you can get all the parts in one go on "Black Friday" at Awesome it would have definitely been rude not to. I reckon the savings alone on the suspension parts will pay for the WMI.

The R definitely has the "pig iron" arms as we had a look when the exhaust was fitted. Quite surprised myself that the R doesn't have these as stock considering the list price of a new R v's S3.

I think it will probably end up as a BT conversion before the nitrous, but that is what discussions are for.......to contemplate and weigh the options up. :happy2:

Sy none of the vw's have alloy arms pal it's a scandal. The only thing anywhere near is the rocco with alloy rear hubs. You want to go for the TT alloy front hubs aswell while you're on John, may aswell, lot less unsprung weight and the centre of gravity sits correctly as the ball joint is in the correct position by doing this. It's out by around 35-40mm with just the arms as the steel hub sits higher up and the ball join has to go on the wrong side of the arm as a solution. :happy2:

Doesn't the hub affect the offset Shaun?

It does pal but if memory serves me correct only by 10mm what is the standard offset on the R and what offset are you running on the TD's
