Just seen a 1/4 mile run of the APR Australia Golf R pull consistant 10.8's!  128mph terminals.

f*ck it, I'm going 4wd.

Steve jr at Statllers has plenty of 4wd parts to do a few complete conversions Alex! :happy2:

Subframe, haldex and diff are sorted.  Need fuel tank and prop from an Octavia then a 4wd box and arb diff.  Long term project so no rush.  Maybe go dsg.

The revised Revo Stage 2+ went on today. Had the car on Statllers dyno and did 312bhp at stage 1 with the Evoms fitted and then 356bhp at stage 2+ with the Milltek and Autotech HPFP internals fitted. Managed to fit a full launch in to 60 and did a 3.6 straight off. The car feels MUCH stronger and as soon as I can do some runs with the PerformanceBox at the normal spot I think the results will be easily better.  :happy2:

John, when you say revised how new is that?

I recently, 2 weeks (ish), had a revised 2+.

I find it very smooth and not so aggresive, do you feel the same?

Don't think John would know the difference as he went straight to the brand new stage 2+ map
I'm thinking of going to the new map, but a bit concerned now you're saying its not that aggressive????
Did they change any of your timing, boost or fuel settings after applying it, or did they do any logs??

Yes the settings were altered whilst on the dyno runs. VCDS logs were not, although I will do some myself. Steve Jr has already had a few cars on the dyno with K04's and the new revised map so kind of knows roughly where to set them to start with. The new map doesn't have as much of a torque spike and therefore has a couple of things different as a result.....

1. Feels more progressive than outright aggressive
2. Absolutely no dip in the power curve anywhere on the rev range, probably helped by the extra control of the torque spike which on the previous map had a tendency to cause a drop in the fuel pressure on both the low and high pressure systems just after the peak torque point.

I'd say the new map is better for the car and faster overall. This is based on my previous experience on the Ed30 at stage 2+ on Revo. :happy2:

I'm assuming that was with launch control

What is the mileage on her now?

Yep, using launch control with most of the first half being slightly uphill. The car has nearly 7k miles on her now. :happy2:

Pretty sure he did Rich, yeah. I cracked the exact same when I strapped mine to a Vbox too. I would imagine the .:R will improve on that slightly with a few more runs (give the traction advantage and John's love for Vbox runs  :signLOL:)
