The best way to describe an atb diff on a 4wd is just to say the diff will pull the car harder around the corner with the back end pushing the car.  Means even more cornering grip and a more balanced, less understeery feel.

Tbh I would always go for the peloquins atb diff in the high torque version.  The quaife doesn't kick in as hard or fast.  The quaife also doesn't come with new bearings which are 130 quid and not available through VW!

I had a little play in the Apr golf R last night.  Had one shot at a launch and managed a 3.7 to 60, then 8 to 100.  They still have a few things to fettle with, but that turbo setup spools faster than a k04.  Plant the throttle and boost is there in an instant.

Missing how?  What was your peak torque?

it goes to 320lbft at 3k rpm and then simply flatlines at that to 5800 rpm before dropping gradually to the redline. No torque hump around 3.5krpm or anything.  :surprised:

Oh and today I've tried phoning REVO HQ and JBS several times and at Revo get a 1'46" hold before getting cut off and JBS just gives the engaged tone and cuts off. :sad1:

Managed to get hold of JBS and they agree that the 320lbft  level doesn't seem right especially with the "K04" hump missing and it being a flat line to 5800rpm, but cannot get me in to sort it until Monday. Happy that it will hopefully be sorted, but kinda sad it will be after GTI Festival.

Yup. Should be a requested and actual load in NM I think. It's how you can guestimate your HP using VCDS.

I will have a butcher's when the old lappie is charged.

It is deffo capped though as a 2007 s-tronic made 370+lbft on the same dyno just after mine with exactly the same mods and a DSG map with the torque limiter removed .......and still made 5bhp less than mine! and that had the "K04 hump" as normal.

So could it be down to gearbox telling the engine to "do one"?

320fltbs aint right. My stage one made ~310-315ftlbs at SRR a month or so ago.

Whats the k04 hump?
