I only recently emailed JBS about a DSG map for mine. I think ill drop that plan.  Out of interest how come REVO haven't released a DSG map, do thry not have plans for one?  With any look GIAC sort out a new code for the dsg snd problems solved.

From what i gather APR have bypassed the limiters on their R now.  Not sure if its a dsg map or ecu tweak though

Engine ecu.  :happy2:

At a guess I would say they are making the engine tell the gearbox that it's only getting a percentage of the actual torque.

Revo don't think there's a big enough demand out there to warrant them buyin the new tools required to map newer spec DSG boxes iirc

I am sure if APR bring one out they will soon follow, perhaps they are waiting for another tuner to test the water before committing finances?.

IS the DSG box on the R the same as the one on the New S3 or RS3, Golf GTI etc, surely there is a market for that.

Hoping someone has one in a couple of years when I get my R  :happy2:

Correctamundo Hedge!!

Giac turn the torque read off too, they have done for the past two years

Its called a no torque read file so the limiters lifted on the DSG through the motronic
Still not as good as the correct box software though that's why they have now finally released it, and yes I guess everyone will follow suite

I've got a 19 second video of you John going up the strip.

Its not brilliant but if nobody else has it I can see if I can email it to you if you want it?

I would have said hello but everytime I walked past your car you weren't there.

Great day at the Pod. Lovely weather. Only did 16 runs in total. Got the hang of the car launch and shift points by the end of the day. A little different to launching on the road. I was avoiding the water for most of the day until Luke said it actually may help as I was getting too MUCH grip. After that my times dropped by another couple of tents of a second.

Fastest time was a 12.615 and the fastest time with a passenger was a 12.787.

The car still feels like it is held back by the torque limitation in the map and with an extra 40-50lbft should help drop the times more.

A few pics...list of runs (didn't pick up the last two runs which we're 12.62 and 12.63)

Fastest 0-100
