That's a mere drive to the shops for John..  :signLOL:

Looks like you had a decent day mate.. Were the conditions as good as they looked? I reckon the torque limiter is definitely holding you back judging by yours terminal speeds. Will be good to see what difference it makes when you manage to sort it...
What's your movements this week mate? I may be in Sheffield at some point, so could possibly meet up for a coffee?

Cheers Ben, the conditions were basically perfect. 12-13oC and virtually no wind. Dry all day too.

I should be hitting 110mph+ And with the wmi fitted soon I'd hope for more than that!

I'm off all next week, so let me know and we can meet up.  :happy2:

John, well done mate.  Just posted on my GTi festival thread, didn't know you'd posted here  :happy2:

My terminal speed was only just over 104 and best quarter mile 13.0557.

My car is due a service in 1000 miles, so need to get her checked out.  Either the R is far quicker than the S3 or there is something wrong with mine   that other Blue R was doing sub 13's and he was only stage 1, that's a bit worrying for me and my times  :signLOL:
Need to get that DSG map sorted 1st of all, then a health check for her.

13.0 @ 104mph for a Stage 2+ S-Tronic S3 spells running issues to me Justin..  :sad1: Should be far quicker than that mate..
I dare say a stock car wouldn't be a million miles off that terminal speed.. Get her checked out pronto I say. My mate has a manual S2+ S3 and recently had an inkling that his car wasn't running at 100%. It wasnt until he had a tear up with a stock Focus RS (and struggled) that he knew something wasn't right. Removal of the stock DV revealed a massive tear and when replaced unleashed his lost pennies and transformed the car.

Don't tell me  :sad1:
I'm wondering though if she's gone bad since Inters, or the Inters runs were good because their equipment isn't accurate
Saying that though, John would have run close to an 11 at Inters if that was true  :signLOL:

I'd definitely say something is limiting or affecting the car adversely Justin. 104 is quite low, but having said that mine varied wildly depending on the launch and shift points. What were your 60' times?

The car still has stock wheels, suspension and brakes.

Apart from stage 2+ the car has a Haldex controller and the DSG map, but I think the DSG map is slowing me down at speed.

John - I will give you a text during the week and we can sort something   :happy2:

I bet if you replaced the heavy-ass 19" Tallys with some 18" TD's you would see a difference too.. Plus they  really suit the .:R IMO..

Paulk - you back in the fold mate?  :happy2: What happened to the RS?

I was avoiding the water for most of the day until Luke said it actually may help as I was getting too MUCH grip. After that my times dropped by another couple of tents of a second.

 :happy2:

Had a fantastic day out, thanks John :) Glad you managed to get into the 12.6's. Can't wait to see what it'll do with torque limiter removed and WMI fitted

Probably the best pic I took of it

Just throwing a video together now as I said, should be done tomorrow!
