So much win now they are on Johnny boy..  :happy2: Just totally finishes it off for me (especially the Black on Grey theame)..  :congrats:

Plus it should help a little on the drag strip now you've got shot of the heavy-ass Tallys..

Cheers Ben. I was actually thinking of having the roof done in vinyl gloss black, which would be the final external visual mod. Not 100% sure though.

....Is your VW badge matt or gloss black?

Your new alloys are gloss black?

^^^^
Then gloss black vinyl roof would suit better than matt.  :happy2:

Black roof and black mirror caps would be spot on.  I'm also in the pro race club now too.  Mine will have a nice set of slicks on them  :jumping:

MMMM, slicks :happy2:

The alloy wheels, mirror caps, front upper and lower grille, rear diffuser, Xenon light caps and both VW badges are all gloss black, so a gloss black roof would a) disguise the sunroof & b) match up with the rest of the theme.  8)

Not particularly in a rush.

Awaiting the H&R group buy to start, then choose brakes and coilovers and have them on as one job lot. Brakes aren't urgent as they are good enough for the road over winter, so it may well be early next year when everything goes on. :happy2:

Ok, been out today in the wet to see if the car is much faster since the software updates and the lighter alloys and tyres. Finally got my hands back on the Performance box.

The run below was done in the wet, with just over half a tank of fuel and full interior. The surface starts off level and then goes into a decline half way on the run to the end, but no more than Bruntingthorpe has by comparison. Wheelspin at all 4 wheels to around 30 mph and I used launch control at just over 4krpms.

The car definitely feels better, revs out well to the redline and the pull is much harder.

No 1/4 mile this time though as there is a gate at the end! :scared:

Looks awesome mate, and great times especially in the wet.  I would have been interested in your 0-60 time at a 4500rpm launch
