Isn't that all the Loba offering is a hybrid K04?

Almost, but is more like a reduced size TT-RS offering with  a modified, bored out K04 manifold strapped to it, so has more potential than a K04 hybrid.
Golf R gone.

yeah, alexes involves different compressor wheels, whereas the LO4xx has half a TTRS turbo bolted to it or something like that anyway.  I think Alex was worried about the EGTs on this turbo being high though, but no one has released any figures from tests yet AFAIK, so its all theoretical.

When individuals questions the likely EGT issue on with the Loba turbo they repeatedly danced around the question.

As usual it got  :indifferent:

I could never see the point to it due to the fact it was going to cost about the same if not more than the equivelent spec garret?

Bored out mani  :signLOL:

if you go by the dyno figures floating around it produces more power than the Loba TTRS upgrade turbo which uses larger wheels and an extra cylinder!

I am interested to know what's happening  with the turbo as it could be perfect.

Steve is still running the Loba turbo on his ED30 and it is still VERY strong. He has booked two cars for the 30-130 day, but I think he will be bringing the Porsche and the Golf RS.

As you can imagine by the two builds he has ongoing, he hasn't really done much with the ED30 apart from using it as his daily, which speaks volumes for how well it runs. Sunglasses Ron also went out in it and if he spots this I'm sure he will post to tell you how strong it runs.

Bit of an update....

The car goes in next week for it's re-spray after the scratch damage on the rear door from a vandal. some other bits may well get colour coded at the same time to cheer me up!

Also next week the R will have the intake changed to a larger one with a larger MAF housing. This is to incorporate the upgrade maps that will go on by GIAC onto the new switchloader I'm getting....

A. Valet mode - for when anyone apart from Statllers has it.
B. GIAC Extreme pump map - for when I'm on normal 99ron fuel
C. GIAC Extreme race map - for when I'm running WMI and/or race fuel.

The GIAC Race map has seen R's with DSG using it into the 11's on the 1/4 mile with just WMI, so WMI and race fuel should be "interesting"

I think my next update may well be upgrade clutchpacks! :signLOL:

It is the fourth car I've had vandalised out of the last seven! it makes you wonder how much this stuff costs nationally as it has cost just me on my own a thick end of £1,000 for my four.
