The guy who owned the rs spent the rest pf the day disputing his figure! He was well gutted!

Sounds about right from Ford AND Vauxhall performance drivers.

I bet it cost a bloody fortune to get that RS to Stage 4 though?

Looking forward to making mine awd when I get home.  Would be a good drag race :driver:

Nice results

A Hurdy vs James drag race would be interesting  :popcornsoda:

Although Manual vs DSG is a little unfair  :sad1:

Thanks for the info Si :happy2: I'm quite tempted by the L0380 as it has quite a few attributes that I like...more power and faster spool being two of them. I've always said that I would like my R to be a strong street car, rather than a drag queen and this might be my solution. I'd like to see how far one of these can be pushed.....safely of course!

Now that would be a cool thing to have Mike 8)

It certainly would, but like you say, a manual of similar power is always going to struggle against a DSG with full launch control......unless it has a wotbox!
Golf R gone.

Rolling would be interesting (ie 30-130mph).. So long as the GTI gets traction, the DSG advantage would be cancelled out by the extra 150kgs the .:R is carrying..

No worries John, let me know ill sort it...  biggest numbers ive heard on LO380 is 407hp and 580Nm

Alex just cause your hybrid don't perform for what ever reason, don't use that to talk of ours or judge, not all are hybrids are the same, same as tuners.

I did try and post some info to explain but was deleted by Mods.. please see our Facebook

I dont remember saying mine didnt perform?  :stupid:

What I mean is there isnt a massive point swapping out the already well performing K04 for a hybrid for the cost the hybrids are.  If however there is the time where the stock K04 goes pop, then its worth swapping for a hybrid like the LO380, TD, or Universal Turbo's version etc.

If you are looking for a reliable 450bhp upwards then GTX with a good free flowing manifold is the way to go.  The stock K04 mani is way too restrictive.

Simon must have a magic EGT gauge then as the TFSi doesnt have one on the car.

Revo have been testing the LO4XX on a golf R for a few months.  They allocate weeks on each tune so if they are not happy selling something then they wont.  Why progress with something thats not working for them?

Hybrids are a waste of time on the TFSi.  I know, I run one.  No point going from a K04 to a K04 hybrid unless the stock K04 has died.

Here  :stupid: read above sounds like yours dont do much...

I agree really would be ideal time to upgrade if and when go's pop... But many dont and just upgrade and are very happy with ours.  Not sure what spec your running maybe worth posting details as you state reasons not to bother with it :happy2:.

Regarding LO4xx its another option for people maybe just not some.

And Regards to EGT's do you not think a EGT probe mite have been used in testing many years ago by partners.....:stupid:

You called Alex stupid twice in the same paragraph yet fail to spell correctly yourself.  :stupid:

You really don't know how to project the right image for your company. Very poor show.  :surprised:
