Does the Loba need a low fuel pressure tank upgrade?
The LO400 doesnt, but the 4xx might do.  Danish has had to fit one to his car iirc.  Either way you can buy one from the change left over from the £300-4000 saving lol.

genuinely surprised by the difference.  Expected the GT28 to be a match tfor the Lo4xx especially with the flowed head etc.  Didnt think hurdy's would have matched it.  Granted his DSG will have helped out but its not a miracle gearbox, its not going to cancel out 50-80hp

Stage 2 plus is what 600 map + 1100 tbe + 600 intercooler + 600 fuel pump + 380 intake = 2480 pounds for a true 340hp

yep

To do this conversion right though do you not need -

LO400, RS4 Injectors, TTRS LPFP, 3" Forge/VF Engineering MAF housing, GIAC map and E Boost controller. So that is a fair old outlay, not as bad if you are already with GIAC and still better value than APR

Or in other words... DEEP POCKETS!

I guess Revo stage 2+ and the L0400 would be another option. Probably not optimal, but it would still make more power than a K04.

Thats the APR kit which includes software.  If your already APR you can remove the full the software price iirc s that would be a £500 saving.

With the LO400 its just Turbo/Injectors afaik

so LOBA LO400 (£1700) + Injectors (£300)+ HPFP (£600) + TBE (£1100) + Intake (£380) + Intercooler (£600) = £4680 + software (£500) = £5180 for approx 400Hp

or

LOBA LO4xx (£2830) + Injectors (£300)+ HPFP (£600) + TBE (£1100) + Intake (£380) + Intercooler (£600) = £5810 + software (£500) = £6310 for approx 430Hp

No denying th LOBA has the VFM and bhp/£ areas well and truly covered

Also take into account that LOBA are offering to rebuild your own K04 to LO400 spec reducing the total cost, effectively making you a part of the club beating higher priced kit companies such as for example APR.
Not good numbers from APR at Marham in either of the classes

Very good mate, considering I only hit around 160 with a 2 mile straight starting at around 70/80 not 30, so very impressive for the LO400  :happy2:

Once the airstrip levelled out near the end the R started gaining speed fairly well. I reckon at Brunters without a headwind I could drop a 170+. :happy2:

The 30-130 time was a little higher than I thought it would be, but the top speed was about right for the conditions, which means power is around where I think it is. On Saturday in better conditions the 400+bhp Evo's only just crept over 160mph, so we didn't do too badly. The Evo's gearing ensures a slightly better 30-130 for the same power, but they should still have a decent top end speed too.

Shorter ratios for better acceleration

But the Evo has to change its gears manually and doesn't have constant boost throughout its runs

Also doesn't it depend if its a 5 speed or 6 speed box Evo?

The Evo also is less aerodynamic and creates downforce whilst the VAG's create lift.

Henry's Evo certainly wasn't struggling with his gearbox...  :surprised: :congrats: What power is it now Pov?

Was you running race fuel Dan? If not then the results between you and Hurdy seemed about right to me..
Weight difference was within 60-70kgs. Hurdy's car was running at pretty much it's limit on the day (fuelling etc) and gearboxes will play a huge part in the times - especially if your changes were as bad as you say they were Dan  :signLOL:
