Was you running race fuel Dan? If not then the results between you and Hurdy seemed about right to me..
Weight difference was within 60-70kgs. Hurdy's car was running at pretty much it's limit on the day (fuelling etc) and gearboxes will play a huge part in the times - especially if your changes were as bad as you say they were Dan  :signLOL:

Don't forget Dans also has the flowed head etc for the full blown stage 3+ setup though.  I would have expected it to fly past Hurdys tbh.   What srt of time do stage 2+ K04s normally get?

Hurdy, were you on Racefuel as well?

The fastest FWD K04 time is 16.6. Stage 2+ 4WD times are high 17's / low 18's in ideal conditions.

Yes, I was on Race fuel, but not to start with. My fastest pump fuel time was 16.7.

I would have expected high 14's to low 15's for a 450bhp car in ideal conditions.

But the Evo has to change its gears manually and doesn't have constant boost throughout its runs

Also doesn't it depend if its a 5 speed or 6 speed box Evo?

The Evo also is less aerodynamic and creates downforce whilst the VAG's create lift.

Henry's Evo certainly wasn't struggling with his gearbox...  :surprised: :congrats: What power is it now Pov?

No one actually knows he tries to keep things secret, but I'd guess between 700-800hp he runs a gtx3582 with a 50/50 meth mix. When he used to run a non billet turbo like dan gt35 at 650hp his car was "slow" due to lag and poor transient response between gear changes. A billet wheel makes a massive difference

It wasn't as windy that day but looking at the other TTRS on the day that was also dsg it was just over 2 secs faster @ 400-420bhp

So the RF and race map only knocked off 0.4 secs?!?!   I'd of expected a lot more than that tbh mate, otherwise it's hardly worth bothering with given the expense, surely?

Highest manual for the day this year was 15.6 on a APR Stage 2 car (SSECKHAM - 68). He even managed to beat the same spec S-tronic car by 0.1 secs too

Shows what difference the wind made. I estimate it gave around 1.5 - 2 secs handicap around that area (14-18 secs). Let's also not forget that we are comparing times in March (8-10oC) to times in August (20-22oc) too..
My car now has a Forge cooler over last year, but hasn't yet been mapped to suit (just ECU adaptation). Although my time was over a second slower, my terminal speed was identical, so I assume it has made a difference somewhere given the wind that day...

Apparently that particular s-tronic driver is a bit of a pansy lol. Should have put more runs in but the other ttrs's incident put him off :/

But yeah on a good day, a TTRS s-tronic should be doubt it in the 13's so about 2 secs down as you say

Ben, John ran the same boost with a mix of VP + 99
I'd guess 20-25 hp more max & 15-20 ft-lb more with the RF at the same boost pressure so the times not that bad really

If you had a bigger turbo that could blow another 10psi of boost with the RF then expect much more maybe up to 60-80hp
I see 30whp more on my Loba car with the RF and a tiny bit more boost

You know John every 0.1 creates a bigger bulge

Update.....

Did a few runs using the Dynolicious app. Using 99ron without WMI.

Each way runs were almost identical.

Golf R gone.
