Exactly.  I didn't buy my bonnet for aesthetics or to shout about. I always wanted one but it was about weight reduction.

but it looked kool! it went very well with the red car

Osir carbon bonnet was not a fully carbon fibre was was laid over something else

ahh see what you mean most of them are.. theres only a very minimal weight difference anyway.. didnt osir do 2 options?

i found out who was making it for them there was a 1kg difference and for the wait for it to be made especially over christmas i couldnt be bothered to wait so i just went with the seibon  they do look good when you pop the bonnet though and its the same underneath

Have to agree !  I painted mine, to go more "stealth" looking, when it was raw carbon, it attracted the wrong attention I didn't want...

Every man, woman and there dog used to near break there necks looking at it, then the boy racers, then the BMW drivers had a thing, wanting to race...

I did leave the underside of the bonnet un-painted 

It's been one of my best buys John, the boot is carbon got the wings but not a great set, so have been put off them for now, was thinking door skins next!

Some colours of cars get away with a mix match of colours easier than others IMO...

Black carbon on a Black car or Black carbon on Grey cars, White cars even Black carbon on Red cars is a good contrast together.

they caught my eye before mate.. but because i dont want to spray mine there 99% going to be a different weave then my bonnet so didnt want them to look out of place! dont put one directly above the engine though.. a mate of mine got a vent on the bonnet of his cupra tfsi and contantly getting water probs lol..

Thats a common issue on the Leon there is a waterproofing fix / kit.  The joins and fixings for the scuttle section leak bad.

Air scoop = loads of dirt flying into The bay. I wouldn't bother.
