Decided not to de badge the front and so.........fitting!!!

The supplied screws to fit the bonnet to the hinges were too small and did not come with any washers
The pre-formed holes to accept the 4 rubber stops were all too small and had to be filed out and even then did not fit. In the end 4 Porsche 997 bonnet rubber stops were used as they are slightly smaller and a little softer.
The rubber strips on the bonnet that locate over the headlights have 5 plastic locators that go into 5 holes in the OEM bonnet. On the CF bonnet on the drivers side there were only 3 holes and 2 marks where the other two holes should have been.
The windscreen jets simply did not fit as the clips on the units are for thin sheet steel and not 3mm thick GRP plastic. This meant that they had to be secured as best possible and then glued.
The bonnet initially stuck up at one side, but after altering the seating and the bonnet housing for the catch it now sits just about right.

Pics.......

Sounds like 90% of the carbon bonnets I've had to fit over the years.  Even your silver one on the ED30 needed some fettling to get right.

This. The L04XX would have been an option, but I have been given an opportunity that I cannot refuse  :innocent:

Oh, and I'm hoping to remove a few more kgs from the car too.

Soooo glad you kept the front badge John.. Without it I think you would made the car look a bit cheap (if that makes any sense?)..

The Pro Race wheels are excellent and tough as old boots. Save a decent weight over OEM wheels too. :happy2:
