Yes, ultimately the flow is less on the 67. The 71 will be slightly later in spool. The 67 should still be easily capable of 500+ bhp with hardware support. On a basic stage 3 set-up mid to late 400's meaning that it can be run on stock internals.

So, I should have the R back for the weekend, just waiting on the TIAL housing to arrive from Owen Developments.

Final spec after much deliberation ended up being a bit overkill for how I am initially going to run it, but at least it will give me plenty of headroom for when pistons and rods are done.

Turbo kit specification......

Forced Performance HTA3071R turbo with TIAL .63AR housing. Turbo is a full Motorsport spec with all the FP options ticked.
Nortech custom tubular V-Banded manifold, fully CAD designed with external wastegate V-Band fitting.
Nortech custom 3.5" stainless steel downpipe with wastegate pipe plumbed in.
Turbodynamics 45mm external wastegate with 10psi spring.
All custom pipe work for cooling/lubrication.

As I mentioned, the turbo is a little OTT but has proven results on various cars over the GTX3071R and spool close to the GTX3067R. The turbo I specified will be initially run between 1.5 and 1.6 bar boost, which should achieve around 450bhp on Statllers dyno without WMI and in pump mode. For reference the L0400 using WMI, in race mode and at 2.1 bar made 369bhp on Statllers dyno, so I am looking at a peak gain of over 70bhp.

Longer term this turbo with supporting mods of pistons, rods, fuelling upgrades, intake manifold, cylinder head and cams will make over 550bhp, so should be a permanent fixture. :happy2:

Going to be good on torque with the .63, but with all the engine work it will run out of puff at the top end.  Great for a good kick.  Honestly cant see it hitting 550 bhp without risking reliability, but 500 will be fine.

So its almost ready with the new setup?

Yes, just waiting on the TIAL housing as it was on Back order. Should be on the car Thursday as it has been dispatched. All the rest of the work is done and James at Nortech has been absolutely great throughout the process. Should be able to get pics and stuff up next week.
500 would be a good amount and I put it out there as my next target. My main target is sub 11.5 on the 1/4 mile. :happy2:

Yes, Nortech make a lot of high end stuff including GT-R exhausts. Everywhere I've looked they get excellent reports. :happy2:

It needs a heat shield though. Hard downpipe to the turbo is quality.

Setting it up with the Eboost controller is still needed. Only running low boost at the moment and it is still f***ing quick!

I got to drive Dave's GTX3067 this afternoon and if that is anything to go by mine will be a killer car. The lag isn't really noticeable having DSG and even after just a quick blast in mine I know it is going to be good.....real good! :jumping:
