Steve at Statller dyno'd the car yesterday on it's new set-up, just to show why exactly the R is sooooo quick. Still on 99ron and WMI though and the pump map. This was the result..... :drool:



Absolutely love the flatline torque, feels fapping brilliant on the road.  :evilgrin:

As most of you know, the last setting revision I had did 460bhp and 360lbft at Statller, which made 495bhp/465awhp and 425lbft/404wlbft at all 4 wheels at Awesome GTI on their newly revised (ie. reads lower) dyno calibration.

I'd say this new setting would comfortably make over 500 AWHP at Awesome GTI, which equates to around 540-550bhp!!!

All VERY positive for the engine build coming up later this year.   :happy2:

Steve Jr also posted up my 0-60 and 0-100mph times on the higher setting.......

Sy, imagine the parts bin I still have to fit

Head and engine build, DSG cooling and Clutchpacks, extra breathing mods, direct port the WMI, I may well even go slightly bigger with the turbo. Another 100whp maybe and then that is it.  :innocent:

Half assed approach there hurdy, we all know if your going to go all out you also need to go nitrous again!

Ill have to get a caby in it next time im back to England.  I thought the APR golf was rapido with the Stage 3 and 430 crank Hp lol.

On a serious note, how is the gearbox?  This must now be nearing or surpassing the absolute maximum the DSG box can handle, are you goiing to have to uprate it internally?  JC done some superfinishing on his DSG didnt he?

I've been in an APR stage 3 R and comparing one to mine is like comparing a stock R to a stage 2+ R.

The gearbox is fine. No slip at all. The new GIAC DSG map is excellent.
