Hurdy's car history typically follows these principles:
-buy a well spec'd stock car
- modify it to within an inch of its life
- lots of 1/4 mile runs & Dyno days
- Steve Jnr puts it back to stock
- gets part ex'd for a faster model
And repeat
Mk7 has better haldex, is lighter and probably just as tunable
It's a sensible upgrade as sooner or later boredom will set in with the 6R, may as well swap now
The 7R will be at very least as good as his 6R when it's been "Hurdied" and if it were me, I'd be more excited about having a different engine to play with. When you've done 2 high power TFSIs it's sensible to move onto a newer engine.
I'd like another passenger ride before you put it back to stock please John (4th or 5th Nov at Statllers sounds good
)
