Setting up a Limited company - advise please

I am hoping that those in the know or who have done this before can provide me with some advice please?

I am looking at setting up a Limited company for trading purposes. I have been on the web and there seem to be so many companies offering a one stop service to do this. Has anybody used one of these companies before? Any I should use or stay away from?

I have these sitting on my screen at the moment waiting to press the button.

Duport is one of the worlds leading, if not, one of the most well known including Dunn And Bradstreet. Every company you can think of is listed there....even your local county council and local police force  Good Luck

Firstly check the pro's and con's with your accountant for your individual circumstances and type of business. I assume that if you have got as far as considering the step into forming a limited company, you already have a trusted accountant / taxation advisor.

Yeah Robin, I been contracting through a LTD umbrella company and it has worked for me, so feel this is the best way to continue at this point. I do have a couple of people that I could use for the accounts, so need to decide which one now.

If you can, use an 'accountant' who is expert in how to (legally!) reduce your tax bills etc at every opportunity, not just a book-keeper type of accountant. If your business succeeds and grows, a pro-active accountant will be invaluable.

Or as RR says get yourself a proper accountant agree a fee for the first year and then tell him he needs to do the running around on this for you. They generally get set up properly when a financial pro is involved.

The registered office can be their premises and they receive all the companies house BS that hopefully you'll be too busy earning the dish to deal with. Slower but better

what Dave said, find an accountant that understands the needs of the business you are in. Maybe ask around  others in the same field as you who operate in the same way, he will have more of an idea of what you can claim back etc.
