Noobie needing adivice on bits...

Hello fellow Golfers.

I am new here, first post, so please do go easy on me 

Iv got my hands on a MK5 golf GT, its looking a little sorry for itself as the previous owner didn't really look after it.

Its had a slight front end doosh, which took away the front bumper, setting off the airbag etc.

So im going to need a front bumper - Now as I havn't even got one to go by, im not even sure what one it should have.... but im pretty happy to go for any of the high end types..... How much should i be looking at for a second hand one?


So, the airbag has gone off and the steering wheel is pretty cr@p, so im going to need (want) a complete multi function steering wheel and airbag - how much should i be looking for a good second hand one of these?


I can't see much damage on the front end apart from the rad / intercooler which i think i will replace anyway, i miss a small crack or something and get it all together and on the road to find it all leaks!

The bonnet i think will be ok with a bit of panel beating and spraying with the rest.

Welcome newbie

Ebay will be your best place to look.  Bumpers aren't that much but would be worth trying to get one in the same colour.  A wheel is around £50-100 and an airbag is about the same, all S/H prices, new would be a lot more.  I do have a 140 GT bumper in silver, has a few marks but am think of selling as it's just sitting in the loft, I also have a non multifunction wheel without the airbag in mint condition, so if you get stuck give me a shout and i might be able to help.
