Never thought about a build thread...although I think it may be over a looong time,if past projects have been anything to go by!
Past experience involved rebuilding my first car (an MG Metro :evilgrin:) many moons ago,modding a MK2 Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6,a Corrado G60 and generally spannering around with the stuff in between.
And having a go always goes hand in hand with getting stuck with not having a clue,then reaching for the hammer/molegrips/prybar. :laugh:

quick pic of my old one  with its new owner  :driver: i built the whole car up from a stock bug

also built the orange one up from a rotten bug needed loads of welding too but bought everything new even the engine and built it up


also had a split van too

Love it! I'm currently looking for a cheap Beetle or bay window project. Missed out on a bargain recently because I dithered too much :sad1: Will be interested to read your progress on this :happy2:
