Again don't waste your money on a catch can on a road car.

Recent threads about this are abound.

Anyone know where to get these cheaper than Breeze VW of Poole, their prices always seem steep!

06F 129 101N = £36.02
06F 103 483E = £17.95!!

Yeah, join TidyVAG for £5 and then you can access Bournemouth TPS (near B&Q Fleetsbridge).

I joined purely for this reason and it's saved me ££££.

Is that right!? I thought they lost that as someone abused it... I'm on the forum, will join fully then...?

My card still gets me in there, and I'm not aware of any current issues.

As I understand the story, a year or so back people were pitching up to TPS claiming to be members and abusing the arrangement. TPS then introduced a requirement for all members to show their cards to stop the problem.

According to the people at TPS their biggest issue at present is people pitching up with a wish list of parts and simply making price enquiries. It ties the staff up for a while, taking them away from the phone and account sales. For this reason TPS won't deal with people over the counter on a Saturday, though if you're spending proper money this "rule" goes out of the window, as I discovered when buying a mechatronics unit for a friend.

OK, so hopefully have my TidyVAG card this week, and be able to go to TPS on Friday Lunchtime to get my PCV and gasket...

I currently have revision F on the car, just want to confirm Revision N is the one for me :)

Do the catch cans manage to catch most of the white gunk that sits under the oil cap in winter?

....Well I never get any of that oil cap gunk so I assume the answer is yes.

But I thought that gunk under the oil cap was a sign of something else needing attention though....     ? ? ? ?
No a lot of us get it from short journeys in winter, in summer it disappears.
.........correct. I just get an old clean rag & wipe it off once a week.
