Worn Standard Brake Parts - Do you keep
« on: August 19, 2012, 08:02:17 pm »
Quick question chaps.

Was sorting out in the garage and found my standard 312 fronts and 280? odd rears, that I'm holding onto for the 'sometime/perhaps' revert back to standard of my Ed30.

Whilst I get the point of keeping calipers/pads etc, does everyone keep their old standard discs?

As after 12 months in the garage, the discs now look like something off RMS Titanic, so I wonder if everyone keeps their items removed.
As now I'm thinking these old discs have turned into paperweights and wouldn't be any good for even driving to the garage come trade in time.
Which is likely a long time off, IF I can stop looking at Golf R's.....hmmmmm wonder why that is currently.

I've kept my stock setups in the shed, and yes like yours mine have rust on them, but give them 10 mins on the car they they'll look ok.
