Rear end scuff :-(
« on: August 19, 2012, 04:39:47 pm »
Just scuff the black lower half of my rear valence , how much roughly are they new from vw .
Also are they easy to change yourself or not ?
Been under my car and can see 5 fixings which are easy enough but what about were the lower half meets top half ?

Yeah £65 mate, ive just ordered one on thursday.. Its been a right pain tho! It came in on friday and was scuffed so i said im not taking that.. They then ordered another one in for Saturday (Yesterday) that was also scuffed, Worse than the first one. I was then told they will ring where they are made and ask for it to be checked before sending and they have said Tuesday now. Grrrrr

Just make sure you double check before leaving VW if you go there for one lol

I've heard that it's MUCH easier to take the entire back end off and then change the lower part. Apparently getting the lower part off on its own is fairly tricky.

I haven't done it myself, but a bodyshop told me this from their experience.
