Did you have to take anything off your axx engine to suit or was everything the same? How about the crank sensor did u change that? Thanks very much andy
My axx engine has gave up oil pump failure im getting a bwa engine just wondering if anyone could give me some on info on wether this will work or know of any changes

He already answered your question. It's a direct a swap, no need to change anything

Happy days breakers got a mk5 with axx engine in today its a 2004 mk5 gti never seen one below 2005 are these unusual? got engine and turbo for 750 euro not bad

Thought you already had a BWA lined up? Don't worry about trying to match the engine code, I would be looking for a good lower mileage replacement.

I assume the 2004 AXX will be higher mileage?

Cars a 2005 made a mistake sorry. the car has 89,000 miles on it so not too bad

Not sure to be honest it's through a friend the lad I got from is standing over it. It came in as an insurance write off crashed at the Back
