TT-RS?

And still spend the £10k.

There is only one reason I would go for a RS3, Suzuka Grey

TBH the RS3 is also 'just' a Golf with an RS and Audi badge.

You could say the 911 is 'just' a flashy Beetle?

John are you having second thoughts?

I reckon you would find its just golf owners who will think that though.  I'd bet the overwhelming majority of the public wouldn't agree, despite the element of truth behind it.

I agree with you but from a Petrolhead point of view and, not the general public, its a Golf.

I buy a car because of the way it drives not because of its badge and not what the Neighbours think and I think Hurdy does too by the looks of things.

I don't really understand the post?

John, there is no way you can buy an RS3 and 'just put an intake and remap on it!

I don't know you personally but on here you seem to like to take things as far as you can go?

which is whay he should get an RS3!!

he's done the 2.0TFSI already and ended up with 450hp and 510Nm!!!  Imagine what he'll do with an RS3!!

Has to be an RS3 for me out of those 2. Although personally not sure if I could bring my self to spend 40k+ on a hot hatch even if i had the cash.

RS3 no doubt, much more room for bigger power increases and mods and like others say 9k cheaper, now if it was a choice of S3 or Golf R, I would go Golf R  :happy2:

I don't understand those folks who have the mindset that a Golf is 'only' a hatchback and therefore not worth spending ~40k+ on. So what? It's a car and the hatch back format has many advantages over 2-seaters, saloons, and estates. We each buy a car for different reasons and according to our lifestyle, and when I say "lifestyle" I don't mean income.

Good point Robin.

But I would still have the Noble and the 'Golf'

Maybe even a new MK6 GTI and a Noble :P
