WOW! I just watched it on iPlayer. What a well made documentary!
As I was born in 1947 you can perhaps imagine what memories it brought back. Javelins, Meteors, Victors (my personal favourite), and last but not least the Vulcan - My first ever sight being several at once in the air somewhere in Lancashire - It was all so science fiction. I vividly remember my Eagle comics and annuals with cutaway illustrations which inspired me to be a draughtsman and pen & ink artist.
Later, in the 1980's, I discovered that a friend, Avril Butt, and longstanding client used to be an air hostess on BOAC Comets:

But, am I right in thinking that the Jump-Jet has now been scrapped? - Utter madness IMO!
And didn't the TSR2 form the basis of Concorde as well? Concorde not originally being intended as a passenger plane?
