Lowering a Mk5 ED30 with factory Xenons
« on: August 22, 2012, 06:04:09 pm »
Im looking into fitting H&R or Eibach sportline springs to my ED30

I'm wondering what you guys do to overcome the xenon adjusters on the wishbones etc
Or does lowering the car not affect them

I remember seeing a mk5 a while back which was lowered and the xenon adjusters were not working due to the ride height

Any help would be appreciated.

.
I didn't do anything regarding my Xenons (Mk5 GTI) when I lowered (KW V3). I have 95mm road clearance at lowest point under the car.

It has passed MOT at least 3 times since lowered.

Thanks for the replys guys

I just wondered if the actual adjusters them selves would get damaged/bent once the car is lowered with the wishbone being pushed upwards

I have factory adjusters and they work fine after fitting eibach springs I now run alot lower on h&r coilovers and they still work fine

Obviously disconnect them before fitting the springs otherwise they will get damaged
Ah-exclusive custom ultra low H&R Coilovers 110mm, ITG induction kit, 18" super RS's, USA rear bumper, USA front grille with smooth number plate surround, recaro bucket seats. now sold !

I reset mine using VCDS as they were pointing up - did some kind of reset and they adjusted themselves and were fine from then on.
