Great read that and very helpful, I think I will be doing mine very soon as it will not unlock with the button only if I use the key (drivers front door )

As it wasn't raining today, i thought i would whip the drivers side door skin off to inspect the wiring loom for brakes, however looks like my car is special as the door lock barrel isn't retained by a T20 bolt but what looks like an InHex bit.



Any thoughts as to which size i need?

I don't know if its the photo or not but looks like a normal 3 or 4mm allen key would fit.

Hi Matto,

Turned out it was a T20 just me being a dumbass and not noticing  :ashamed:

I removed the lock barrel but failed to remove the door handle so as i limited time i gave up and refitted the lock barrel. However the barrel will not secure in place, i think the retaining ring (circled in red) is either broken or has come away from the main mechanism meaning the lock barrel can easily be removed.



I could really do with some help, i'm sure i can fix the barrel but need to remove the door skin first which i can't do until i figure out how to remove the door handle :(

If all else fails remove the door card then window regulator to gain access to the offending item.
