Which SOT lead
« on: August 23, 2012, 07:43:47 pm »
I am looking to fit a Parrot MKi 9200 to my 2007 Golf and need a SOT lead. Which one is required as I have seen the SOT976 lead a SOT976FB lead. I have MFSW if this makes any difference.

I can give you part numbers for the InCarTec units if you like.

You will need 10-536-SWC Sot lead which has the breakout for the MFSW module which is part number 25-200C. With these cables you will be able to control your phone from the MFSW and includes the ignition wire for the Parrot.

For the ones you mentioned, I can find out for you in the morning if you like?

Hope this helps. If you need them, let me know and I can supply them for you.

Thanks for that. How much are the leads? I'm now looking at fitting a Pioneer AVH-2400BT head unit instead. Would this still require the same leads?

The Pioneer AVH-2400BT has bluetooth built in already so you would not need those cables. Let me check on the cables for the Pioneer and I will get back to you.

So you want to replace the sock HU with the Pioneer, is this correct?

If so you would need the dash surround too.

What you would need is the following:

From InCarTec:

To still operate the MFSW, the harness you would need is:
http://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=3336

To install the HU, you would need the dash panel which is
http://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=2896

If your stock HU has only one antenna plug, you would need
http://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=2838

If it has two antenna plugs, you would need
http://incartec.co.uk/Pages/Product.aspx?P=3219

From Autoleads:

MFSW

Give me a little time and I will pm you the pricing. I am still awaiting confirmation. I will send you a pm once I have this.

That's what I want to do. Replace the stock stereo with the Pioneer. I have two aerial leads at the back of the stereo which are sort of joined together. I don't get any AM reception at the moment so kit sure what's going on there. For the price of the MFSW harness I think I'll give that a miss. How hard are these to install. I've had the stereo out before but not too confident of splicing into the existing wiring.

Not difficult to fit them at all, just fiddly trying to hook up all the wiring. It should all generally be plug and play, at least that is how they are designed. The Autoleads stuff is more keenly priced. You should be able to get all the cables required for around the £50 mark. I am waiting on confirmation on the InCarTec prices as that harness does seem to be on the dear side.

Out of interest, what HU is in the car at the moment?

RCD300 at the moment. When I looked at the installation instructions it had leads going to the handbrake and ignition live so I assumed you had to splice cables.
