been to renault

£88.84 to fix

they said its probably a faulty part thats failed and given me renault customer care number to ring and complain

i could uprate the part but then would need all new uprated engine mounts

After speaking to Renault UK customer servies manager and complaining about it breaking the car went into my local Renault Sport dealership for a full inspection as to why the part had broken and who was to pay for the work.

The service manager was a pleasure to deal with and couldnt do enough to try and help me in this situation. He told me what was in my favour and what wasnt etc, the car was in for two days, the first day for the report then the second day to fix it

Unfortunatly renault didnt contribute to the cost of the works as it was deemed to be due to vigerous driving, i did argue that this is what this car is essentially built for but i think the fact it hadnt been into a renault dealership since Dec 2009 and specialists had been used was the main reason why they did not contribute.

Total cost of the fix was only £79.02, it wasnt really about the money i was more after the report so i knew everything related to this part failure was all ok and it was confirmed that nothing else was affected and the car was fault free, so i was happy. This was covered at the cost of Renault.

ive used the car since and have confidence back in the car with the rattles now to a minimum

i had one of my red wheels refurbed due to kerb marks all the way round from the previous owner, just had a pic from my friend doin it sayin its all done

im going to have to machine polish the others to death now to get a good match, if not i'll just get the reamining 3 done but think i'll get them to look alike.

yeah, the other wheels have come up really well, now just got to decide which tyres to put on everything, two sets of wheels and 3 sets of tyres lol

no i had a stage 2 gti, do miss that car

love this car and especially those wheels

yeah i really like it with the red wheels, the detail of the wheels is lost in the black ones

nah, after this i wont get another renault, i miss the build quality of a vw, my passat that i have as well is an S reg with only 44k on the clock and thats built better than this, every rattle makes me nervous in a renault

gave the car a quick clean while the weather was nice and sorted out a scratch from a bird sh.it wipe

noticed the carbon in certain areas is starting to lift between the weave and the resin/laquer, Jay at miglior kindly looked at it for me and there is nothing we can do to stop it, but he suggested to wrap the underside of the bonnet with a heat reflective covering to try and prevent the bonnet from gettin as hot. At this point the marks are tiny and to 99% of people i dont think they would notice it.

then took the car over to are lasses via a long drive over snake pass, the car loved it
