So the annual ring trip went very well.

The trip over was horrendous driving through the night and day to get there. First problem I hit was in the UK, a lose battery terminal left me with zero power at the services, luckily we spotted this and got that sorted, after that I had no problems at all.

The weather all weekend was rubbish, only Saturday morning was dry until about 1pm. Due to this I didn't do as many laps as id hoped to, only completing 4 in total. My first lap back at the ring was meant to be a sighter but ended up beating my quickest time from last year with a 9.01 lap, at this point I knew I was getting into the 8's. The quickest lap of the weekend was an 8.47 lap, I was pleased with this, reckon I could have gone quicker but just didn't have the weather to.

Met some great people and had a really good time, here's the pics

back home, looking sorry for itself

I would absolutely love to have one of these at some time in the future.  I wonder if they will release an RS250-R version of the new Megane

I hope you've been saving up?

that is a stupidly quick time for a front wheel drive car full lap though

I agree, I don't see how anyone can justify £40+k for a Renault megane

Great shots on the Ring.

yeah I was happy with the time, I went with 8.45 in mind but wasn't going out chasing that. Was happy with the low number of laps ive done with the time

Quick update

The mirror caps have been fitted and a quick winter clean was done while I was off work.

I've got the black wheels cleaned and sealed ready to go on but I need two tyres for them, hopefully get them sorted and on this weekend.

The red wheels need 3 tyres so will just get 4 new AD08's.

The car passed its MOT just before Christmas and taxed at the end of December.

Its in Renault today for a few things, mainly new door wiring looms and window regulators, thank fully Renault are making a large contribution to the cost of this for me.

They are also looking at my front lower grill that doesn't sit right, the carbon bonnet issue where the lacquer/gel coat is separating away from the carbon due to the heat, that's been photographed and sent off to Renault HQ for assessment.

Finally, water in the door pockets, they have got back to me about this and that's due to the speakers that have been put in the car, water is running through the door onto the speaker and then into the door card so that needs addressing also

Finally, insurance is due at the end of the month lol

quick pic to make it all better

Got a couple of Pilot Sport 3 tyres fit to my black wheels and those back on yesterday for a few months

I now also need 4 new AD08's for the red wheels

which do people prefer red or black??
