I have a feeling a normal test drive isn't even going to give you a fraction of the thrills this is capable of.

Once all the fancy bits start coming out, I'll be watching them carefully. Ideal fun & track car material.
Sideways yo!

A friend of mine works up in nuneaton at Listers Toyota and was telling me about this a while ago  sounds very good on paper and looks, dare i say it, a cross between a Nissan 370z and a beefed up Celica

It might offer great value for money but it totally lacks style and I'm prejudiced against Toyota. Nothing about it which excites me.

You're not wrong pal..  :surprised: I admire the concept and it's looks, but 7.4 0-60 isn't exactly going to get many people moist in this day and age.. Especially when the likes of the new BMW 320d can manage that

Subaru's equivalent certainly doesn't break any records on track either..

"Not great"

Watching that Megane makes me want a manual car again.

It does seem like it needs a bit more power in the lower rev range for sure. Without a turbo it'll be difficult to get much out of a remap either.

But maybe that's not the point. It looks great fun to drive, even if it can't keep up with the Megane & Co.

I'm sure they will. They'd be mad not to.

The MX5 is slow, it's still regarded as one of the finest driver's cars available. There's very little RWD and fun, that's also cheap.

can manage that

Subaru's equivalent certainly doesn't break any records on track either..

but, look at the way suburu have always released the Impreza.  the WRX wasa frankly mild, the STI came next and injected alot mre performance then they release the special focused editions such as the WR1 etc

Id bet there will be something more potent in the pipe line
