« on: August 05, 2012, 01:32:58 pm »
i was trying to open my bonnet this morn to change the bulbs and my bonnet release handle snapped. i then removed the trim to pull on the actual cable itself but it still wouldnt release. does anyone know why this might be??? ..........and have a partnumber for the little plastic bit that connects the handle and cable  :signLOL:

Handles snap due to the cable or closing mech seizing. Common problem always keep mine mega lubricated  :innocent:

There must be a procdure for getting the bonnet open should this happen. I would get some mole grips on the cable and giving it a proper yank with someone applying slight upward pressure to the bonnet front edge.
