Hiya Guys,

Would a Sirocco dash fit in a mk5 golf?

Has it been done before?

I'm sure it would but may take some modifying to get it to fit!  :happy2:

.... :signLOL: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: :congrats: Classic TC!

But actually not so 'off' is it first sounds. Why on earth would you want to replace a Mk5 Golf dash with a Scirocco dash? Aren't they already very similar and just the same fundamental design as each other but adapted to fit a different body shell?

The only difference with the Rocco and Mk5 is the central vent area, It will physically fit but why you would want to is probably not worth the hassle.

I can see why you would want to do this. The central dash area on the Rocco looks better imo. I will be taking my dash out in the next week to do the MK6 vent change, might look a bit more into this.......

^^^^
Can anyone post a couple of pics to show this 'important' difference in the central dash area?

Each to their own but surely there are better things on a car to spend money on (unless it's a show car).

Your request has been fulfilled:

Not going to put a MK5 up as you know what that looks like already :)

The Scirocco doesn't have that silly vent above the radio, the radio surround is separate to the vents and comes in various colours too. The panel on top of the dash just under the windscreen also looks far more integrated than stuck on. I just think it looks a much cleaner design.

Looking at it, I reckon that piece under the windscreen and blending into the doors could be the biggest challenge, assuming all the mounting points are the same.

Thank You, Squeeguk  :happy2:

I guess it's just as well that we each have different individual tastes because I much prefer how my Mk5 GTI is styled.
