Recommend servicing in coventry area

Hi all, I'm new to the forum having recently switch from a diesel mg zr to an edition 30 after the misses said we need a family 5 door hatch!

For the frist year I plan to keep it standard (see how long that last) and would like to know if any one can recommed anywhere in Coventry or near for servicing.

Car had donw 78k when purchased (run on long life service with cambelt changed at 58k), oil and filter was also changed as part of sump sensor replacement a week before purchase but I would like to get a major service done to keep history in line (now up to 80.6k).

I have been to Lister Coventry and was offered the service plan for £399 which covered 1 minor 1 major and 2 MOTs over 18 months based on 8-10k a year.

Before I take up the offer I would apperciate peoples opions and can anyone recommend local specialist or alternatives?

I actually had my ED30 delivered to them and they done an inspection for me, also a sw check as well.

They also have done cambelt + tensioner. They collect and deliver back to you and valet as well. First class service.

VW Midland are the guys that did the sensor change just before purchase, a little further than I'd like but I'll gve them a call.

Any Listers VW offers the £399 Service Plan.  I live in Cov, but use Listers in Nuneaton.  The first time my car went to Listers in Cov it needed to have the drivers door resprayed after they dropped a wrench leaving a 4inch scratch.  The second time they drove my car INTO the ramp rather than ONTO the ramp resulting in a wheel refurb being needed.  Not exactly confidence inspiring!

Have also heard good things about VOLKS, an independent VAG specialist in Spon End.  Might be worth a look.  IIRC there was some forum chatter about the place in Longford changing ownership and not being as good as it once was.
