Does anyone care about lap times set by somebody else?  Could you get either round in them times? Pub talk. Some like 32s, some gtis and some understand the differance between 2 cars and appreciate both.

No one realy cares.. and does it make much of a difference? Not really.... just some interesting facts thats all.

I just find it amusing that some people act like they made the cars themselves and take it as a personal insult.

If you love your car you don't care if its 2 seconds faster or slower than the next guy...its your car...your pride and joy...arguing over 2 seconds is just a lot of "you know what" waving...

I am looking at another R23 (  :laugh: ) yeh and I've already owned one and a ST2+ Ed30, but to be honest all this willy waving is getting a bit tedious!!

Surely this road has been travelled down so many times even the council have given up with the resurfacing!!  :rolleye:

You forget, I have to read this bilge when you lot choose too!  :signLOL:

It's all light hearted banter, let's not take it too seriously or personal.

I'm quite interested as I love both cars and have owned both.

I believe the ED30 has a slightly better power /weight ratio so I can only imagine the R32 gains on the ED30 because of the 4 wheel drive.

Does anyone have any of the following stats for comparison?

R32 and ED30 1/4 mile times (standard cars)

And how about a rocco R vs a Golf R on the tracks posted above?

The Golf R is faster than the Rocco R on 3 out of 4 of those tracks (Golf R has no time for the Top Gear test track).

Both of the above are faster than the R32 on those tracks too. :smiley:

That surprises me actually!

As much as I love my Edition 30 though, i'd really consider selling it to build a turbo'd DSG R32...
