Poor sound from RNS510 when using ipod in armrest as source.
« on: August 28, 2012, 07:41:18 pm »
Setting up the rns510 and tried to listen to my ipod. Instruments sound ok but vocals are distorted.
One has to crank up the volume a few extra notches to get the same level as the radio.
Set the aux input level to low as when on medium or high the distorsion was greater.

Anything else I can try to improve matters?

No I haven't Steve!  :happy2:
Is this easy for a non-tech like me to do i.e. tools and skill level?

Pretty straight forward for someone with a steady hand  :happy2:

Small flat blade / jewellers screwdrivers is all you need to release the pins and swap them around.

Damn, to think I had the unit out (again) this afternoon when resiteing the gps aerial.  :sad1:

Do I have to disconnect the battery to do this?

Personally I don't disconnect the battery for this change.
