Hello from sunny Skegness!
« on: August 29, 2012, 01:04:41 pm »
Hi everyone!  Just thought I would say a quick hello!  After 4 years of Impreza STi ownership I have decided its time to get a GTI back in my life!  Before the Subaru I had a black Mk2 8 valve GTI (which I wish I had never sold), and then a Mk4 150bhp GT TDi mapped by Jabba Sport to about 190bhp.  I’m on the look out for an Ed 30 at the mo and I cant wait to find one!

Been having a bit of a read on the forum over the last few weeks and its been really helpful and given me plenty of ideas about mods (just don’t tell the wife!).  As soon as I can find an Ed 30 I will have to get some pics posted.  Cheers everyone, Matt.

Well just got back from picking up my Edition 30!  Managed to bag myself a standard 08 plate red one for right money! I'm well chuffed with it so far, it's fast and so much more economical than my Impreza. Just got a slight issue with the air con which I'm hoping isn't the compressor. It blows cool air but never really cold air. The chap I bought it off said it was recently regassed. Not aware of any strange noises. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers, Matt.

Didn't take you long to find one and in the fastest colour too

Could be a Condenser, is prone to stones going thought it or a leak or a sensor or switch. Take it to an Air Con Specialised (or get a mobile Air Con Specialist to come to you), not just any garage to get it checked out.

Oh and get some pics up of your new Eddy!

Thanks for that MC71. I have got it booked in with an air con specialist next week, I just hope it's something straight forward! Will get some pics up when I get it washed at the weekend!
