ED35 Floor Mats

Just wondering if the Ed35 floor mats are the same / similar to the Ed30 floor mats (at a quick glance, they look the same)?

If so, does anyone have a part number?

I might get some for the ED30. The ED30 floor mats were no longer available from the stealers when i enquired last year so it may be a good opportunity to get some!

They are likely the same shape. The only difference may be with the clips. Their shape and position may have been changed. Hopefully someone knows and gets you the OK on this ;]

just rang the stealers and the guy on the parts desk doesnt seem to think they are available to order (ED35 mats). he said he will make enquiries...

They're not that special. Plain black with a red trim around the entire edge. They do not have a GTI logo.

Agreed I run a set of GTI mats now as they are nicer in the Ed35

Should just get a set of the genuine GTI ones that they do then,anthracite with red stitching and a GTI logo,about £65 if memory serves.

Ive just had an Ed35 for a week on loan , the fixings are totally different to my Mk5 GTI's mats so I take it Mk6 GTI ones will be the ones to go for.

Early mk5 has the oval ones which twist,late mk5 and mk6 have round ones.

Yeah mines an 05 so has the early fixings , I didn't realise the Mk5 changed at all . good job I got the right ones when I ordered new mats a couple of years ago!

Hi guys, just acquired my ed30, well happy with it and have been searching the forum on minor mods to start with, new floor mats being one. Managed to get a set of GTI mats at 10% off as Scotswood VW were having a promo on mats. I've now realised the stock ones are infact the original Ed30 ones! Oh well, into the loft go the worn ones then.

I've just ordered a new set of ED30 mats from my local VW, £46 which I think was quite good, expecting them to be more expensive as they were limited (give or take a few extra hundred!)  :grin:

Did consider the GTi ones but wanted to keep it As standard with the original ED30 mats  :happy2:
