Company car or stage 2+ ed30
« on: August 28, 2012, 06:19:40 pm »
I have been offered a company car as part of my promotion usually a diesel focus or Volvo c30 but I can't decide whether or not to give up on my ed30 golf. It's currently stage 2 and gathering parts for stage 2+

I also have use of my girlfriends corsa so don't put much fuel in the golf and I always think I don't need it then when I drive it I think that I don't want to be without it :(

What would you guys do?

I would make the edition 30 a weekend toy and have the company car

Yes you have to pay tax for having a company car but it should be less than what your fuel bills for commuting will be.

Keep the Golf. You will miss everything it is capable of.

A diesel Focus or C30 won't cut it. If you were doing 30k+ a year like me then a diesel would make sense.

Thing is I'm in construction as an assistant site manager so could be doing 10 mile a day or 100 mile a day depending where I'm working. I would love to keep it as a weekend toy but as I'm not yet on the property ladder I know it will have to go eventually :( unless I win the lottery
