Vinyl Wrapping badges.
« on: September 20, 2012, 11:12:30 am »
Can someone point me in the way of a place that would be able to black vinyl wrap my front and rear badges? Also give me an idea of how much I'm likely to pay? Will it be cheaper just to try and buy them?
I'm sure I've seen a "how to" thread on here but I'm like a pig with a spanner when it comes to that sort of stuff so would prefer someone that knows what they're doing did it for me.

Also is just painting them matt black a cheaper and easier option?

I had a couple of badges and some spare carbon wrap; it was a n absolute mission and still didn't look right!  :sad1:

In the end I sanded the chrome part down, sprayed with a grey primer then after a day sprayed it Matt black. Paint was a few £ per tin and job easy to do. Anyway I knackered that badge-hit a deer  :ashamed: so when I replaced the grille I got a black plastic one off the bay for about £15. Quality great and no stone chips in the paint!

PM me and if you want them wrapping, chuck them in a bag and I will wrap them FOC. Got loads of Helix Black Gloss Vinyl left over after wrapping these bits and decided not to wrap the roof (yet). If someone else does it on the forum, go for it, don't want to stand on any toes.  :happy2:
