Vegas recomendations?
« on: September 02, 2012, 10:22:06 am »
Off to Vegas in a week for 6 nights, any recommendations on things to do/places to check out?

Got the usual stuff on the list already:

Grand Canyon
Hoover Dam
Bellagio Fountains
Gambling...obviously
Bars/Clubs (any recommendations?)
Gun Range
Strip Billiards at the Wynn (inc fit birds)

Thanks

Hoover Dam tour is great they take you into the turbine room too.

Also Valley of Fire NP http://parks.nv.gov/parks/valley-of-fire-state-park/ is awe inspiring, good roads to drive on from Vegas too.

There is a Steak Restaurant called 'Prime' in the Bellagio, great steak and you can book a table on the verranda and watch the Fountains whilst you have dinner.

Helicopter ride up the Grand Canyon which also goes over the Hoover dam.  There is the option of landing in the canyon and doing some horse riding before flying back.

When we did the grand canyon helicopter ride we did it with a company called Maverick and they were spot on. Also we went to see sorque du solie (probably mispelt) and that was well worth it.

Hoover Dam is a must IMO, incredible place and as above peeps say, the Valley of Fire. As far as Las Vegas goes, try and get to one of the big shows, magic ones are very good. Only been once, a few years ago, with the wife and kids so stayed at Circus Circus and went to Ceasars Palace for a show.

A useful site for most things "Vegas"

Are you going with the lads or a woman?? :innocent:

Had some good nights in studio 54 in the MGM, there's a good views bar at the top of Mandalay bay and see if there is a pool party at the hard rock while your there.
Also do the rides at the top of the stratosphere, good buzz/way to get over a hangover!

Here's my recommendation:  Search the girls for camera phones before you take your clothes off.

All the best

Harry.

Shadow blue DSG 5 door with leather, sunroof, 18" Monzas, MFSW.
Full list of mods:  Seat inserts and a VW bottle opener.  Each worth 20bhp.

Excellent, I'm very jealous then!
I imagine you will end up in a gentlemans establishment 1 night, there are lots of pr girls wearing dirty stripper heels etc in the casinos preying on lads to go. We have been to a few, be careful tho if you have a dance as they keep dancing after 1 song until you say stop! I had a fitty in spearmint rhino there who was dancing for a good 10mins then asked for $150! I disagreed it was worth that much  so she went to fetch a heavy whilst I scarpered!
The American birds love the accent too even my black country English that they thought was Australian.
It's going to be quality! :drinking:
