Hey

Long time follower of the site but only recently signed up. Have had this GTI for well over a year now but only just getting around to making a few changes now. Was a very well looked after example which I purchased from another member. Going through it's history I think it was one of Greeners old GTI's.

Currently in the middle of a few changes:

- Replaced front and rear VW emblem due to the paint flaking off the black ones
- New splitter to be fitted as the red painted one was badly chipped
- New tyres and four wheel alignment
- Full service with timing belt and water pump
- Booked in for a full detail with stonechips etc removed
- Hope to get an RCD510

Apart from that I don't think there is much else it needs

Welcome along, GTI looks like a good one!  :drinking:

I have an RCD510, great bit of kit with more functions than you can shake a stick at. Get yourself a decent 3gb SDHC Sd card and no need to ever carry a cd again. If you want Sat Nav or Reversing Camera go for the RNS510.

What front splitter are you going for, OEM GTI?

Hey, Thanks for the welcome. Always nice to get the opinion and advice from other members. Without this forum I would never have found it

Was thinking of getting the RNS510...Camera and SatNav would be nice additions to have, but think the RCD510 would be brilliant for now. Like you say, does seem to have a lot of features as is.

Only fitting a standard OEM splitter but could possibly wrap it... Unsure if it would look good though.

One things for sure, the GTI definitely knows how to empty my wallet  :happy2:

That's because she's such a pretty pretty girl. The pretty ones are always high maintenance, but always worth it!
