New member - Tornado Red mk5 GTi
« on: September 03, 2012, 09:36:19 am »
Hey everyone,
My names Padraic. I've been lurking here for months now looking for tips etc while I was in the process of buying a GTI, so thanks for that!
I eventually settled on one, I love the car so said I would stick up a few pics here
ITs an 06 and has DSG, RNS-510, R32 rear lights etc.

Thanks  :happy2:
I'll be modding it a small bit, as much as my horrendous finances allow lol...
Exhaust, new wheels and a remap is about as far as i'll be going in the next year!

Padraic

Good looking car - nice buy. I have a red 07 5-door with 17" Monzas in Dublin. I have Louth plates - I'll give you a wave if I see you about!

BTW What remap are you considering? I think I'll get a Bluefin.

Nice car, if your looking for a remap, give Joe Power (TDR performance in Dunboyne, Co. Meath) a shout, he will do a custom map on a dyno dynamics rolling road,
He's the best around....

cheers lads

Ya the red looks great in it I must say!!

With regards to the remap,
I had an audi a4 2.0 tdi before and had joe power remap that for me,
hes absolutely brilliant... He had that audi like an absolute animal, and safely so too I must add!
So I'll definitely be going back to him :)
How much are remaps for gti's though? And what sort of gains can be gotten without comprimising the car?
Cheers!  :happy2:

I'd say you will get approx 240bhp, he remapped my vRS to 259bhp, but I've a Forge twintercooler, 3''DP etc fitted, I'm still on the original fuel pump, so if that was upgraded, a lot more could be gained, so circa 230/240bhp would be what you can expect from maybe adding a better CAI
